https://www.gov.uk/government/consu...s-to-support-the-rollout-of-covid-19-vaccines They posted that three days ago and it is worrying. In short they could rush a vaccine through and if anything happens to you at any point you cannot sue anyone. Surely such laws cannot be allowed. If they try and make it mandatory there will be anarchy on the streets.
They've failed to legislate throughout the entire pandemic so they can pass blame onto anyone but them, why change now even if this time they've legislated against it.
I will have a Covid 19 vaccination that has jumped through all the hoops currently necessary and in force. I will NOT have a Covid 19 vaccination in the circumstances outlined here. It would require me to trust this "Government" and that is something I could never do.
I’ve even trying to tell you for a vaccine to be developed and tested it is an 12-18 month minimum period
The article I’ve read is. Is that it cannot be compulsory. But the idea is. If you attend an event or other populated premises. You will have to provide proof of having had the vaccine. ? Assume some sort of pass card. Or more technically registered on line to be able to book events etc.
So, mandatory "by proxy". You don't have to have it, but if you don't you can't go anywhere or do anything. I would call that mandatory.
right! no vaccine has ever been produced in less than two years. The bar for getting approval for a vaccine or indeed any new drug is incredibly high.
I see it as a catch 22. For those of us that are in the at risk groups, Amber/red. Then it could be the thing that gives us the freedom to choose. And return to a normal life in the respect we live in fear of both the implications of the vaccine or the threat of Covid and its consequences if caught. For those that think it’s a hoax. Restricts the freedom they seek, if not willing to accept the vaccine. If the evidence suggests the vaccine is safe. I’ll probably go for it. Advances in science suggest a conclusion can be made a lot sooner than was previously the case.
Fair do's. So as we know, the virus is only dangerous to people of a certain age and/or suffer from other serious illnesses, how come they don't just get those people they deem to be at risk to have the vaccine? And leave everyone else alone, just like they do with the flu vaccination.
Without all the arguments about who gets it when which has already started. Frontline staff? But they get lots of PPE so shouldn't be in danger. Elderly who are high risk? But if there isn't enough to go around is it 'wasted' on those retired. Children? Yes they tend to have vaccines more to be less risk to others, but they are low risk themselves. Obese people? But apparently the vaccine will not work as well on them. Arguments can be made for and against everyone.
They,be tested it on thousands of people so if owt were going to happen to anybody they would already know. They can,t test it on everybody.
Can't say I would be in a rush to have a vaccine that isn't properly tested for a disease that's hardly killing anyone in the UK currently.
Vaccines have test periods of years for a reason. You can only see what the effect of the vaccine a year after taking it is by waiting a year. I believe testing it on everybody is the plan...
I'm 50 years old and retired. I've had a good innings and I've paid nearly all the tax I'm going to pay. Time for me to shuffle off and make way for young blood. In the words of Joe Hill, good luck to all of you.
