the free league review.....remember that!! they used to have a club squad photo in the centre page. Millwall featured one time with Eamon Dunphy sitting centre stage front bench with his nob end sneaking out of his shorts.
Can’t believe you’ve all missed this Chien Lee masterclass: Lee: We are redeveloping the stadium Cryne Jr: you can’t, you don’t own oakwell Lee: Oakwell, what is this oakwell you speak of? Cryne Jr: the name of the ground. I have a contract here saying I own half of it Lee: I see your contract but I don’t know what this oakwell is, our ground is called Grove Street Cryne: come off it, no one calls it that Lee: but look at the website - grove street, look at the programme - grove street, look at this match report from Whitey - grove street Cryne: but what does news bot say?! Lee: (strokes white cat and chuckles) oh I’m disappointed in you Mr Cryne, news bot agrees with me. Grove Street is mine! All mine!
I guess it’s good to have it named as part of the community and adjacent street. Maybe it will be called Kendray Hill in a few years when we move ;-)
famine, pesta... ******* plague, war and so on. thank you for explaining mate. . . . if ya dont know ask, ignorance is not an excuse but stupidity is ( or make some bull5hit up hehe)
Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse - Revelations (last book in the Bible) Chapter 6. Red Horse represents War - Black Horse Famine, - White Horse Religious Deception/Death, Pale Horse Pestilence. Some Christians link the Red Horse to the USA/Iran conflict and the Pale Horse to the Covid 19 pandemic. (amazing the stuff you can find on Google!) And if the Four horses and their riders managed to negotiate the Dodworth Crossroads unscathed as they head down towards Keresforth then we need not worry that the end of the World is nigh.
Too right mate. Have they bought the 100% rights. There’s 2 sides to grove st. Ground/houses. Blooming Brigands. Get your claim in.
Oakwell is the stadium though. Grove street was a school and is a road. I think Be Red could be the matchday programme for any team that plays in red so fair enough for a change but why not use the stadium name? Anyway, not my call just my opinion.
Although it’s turned out to be a false alarm - an hint of progress and we have all this bile. Just a slight suggestion of progress ........ and all this !!! These owners have got a hell of a lot to deal with - a set of supporters (not all) stuck in the 1960s. After the failed attempt to give the club badge a much needed uplift - Mansford will have warned Dane Murphy about this ‘we’ve never had nowt so we don’t want nowt now’ mentality. The attitude of ‘anti change’ is going to absolutely cripple the progress of Barnsley Football Club and consequently severely damage Barnsley as a town. If I was part of this ownership I would drive a coach and horses straight through all this fooking shi.te. I ain’t bothered if Barnsley play in pink pyjamas at Southern Fried Chicken Stadium - as long as we have a strong team that puts Barnsley Town more firmly on the map. END OF !!!
I like it sounds cool, sort of menacing ,the forest are the first victims of the grove street boys ,can see a good chant g s boys to the tune of we are Leeds,gs boys g s boys g s boys gs boys gs boys
Out of interest nudger what is the progress in calling the programme grove Street? I've absolutely no problem at all with it, it's a good name, but what is it progress towards? And the badge change thing was not the fault of the fans. Every single design that the Leeds United fans designed were absolutely awful.
