He was at Chelsea then Liverpool now us , he’s on an upward career curve , good luck to him welcome to Oakwell Grove Street Barnsley
Fair enough. He's young, got a good pedigree. Will hopefully come good. With a sprinkling of experience having been added recently I'm happy to see us continue investment in youth also.
Never heard of him or seen him play but cant deny the pedigree of the coaching he must have had. And if he was a free agent no sell ons etc to worry about! Good signing on the face of it.
We have. We've also signed lots of untried kids that haven't worked out. We've signed lots of players from lower leagues... that haven't worked out. We've signed loads of loans, many of which haven't worked out. But equally, in all of those categories and however you want to slice it, there are examples of players who have done well for us and made our team better for it. At the end of the day, each player signed should be for the intent of making the first team better at this moment in time, or very soon thereafter after a bit of coaching and acclimatising. If that's a 37 year old or a 17 year old, so be it. But what I've always believed is that the better teams have a blend of youth and experience.
It’s good how we always seem to beat off competition from other championship clubs for our new signings.
Not quite sure what Alan means here but maybe the deal is close? Rumour originally surfaced a couple of weeks ago didn’t it?
I think he's suggesting that another club, who were also trying to sign him, have said he's signing for us. It was rumoured weeks ago, and sounds like our type of signing.
