It’s more the “told it happens” that I can’t work out. Yeah, he definitely sounds like our kind of signing.
Rumour has it woodrow and browny could be on there way. Hope the fees we rejected a few week back have been upped alot or they will be some disappointed supporters.
His agent might have different ideas, but I very much doubt that Mowatt would have given the interview he has to EFL, if he didn't intend to carry on playing for us. Sounds very committed as far as I'm concerned. https://www.efl.com/news/2020/september/efl-exclusive-alex-mowatt/
"There was a game the season before, Blackpool at home I think it was, and we sealed promotion to the Championship that day. That will go down as one of my favourite-ever days, but I’d say the Brentford game is a close second for me since I’ve been at the club." No, we didn't. We went up without playing three days later when other results fell nicely for us.
Listening to Struber’s interview last Thursday, I got the impression that Mowatt would be staying. Be really great if we could get him to sign a long contract.
I am not being smart but that means nothing , Woodrow & Brown both have 2 years left on their contracts & neither have made public about wanting to leave, yet speculation & rumours seem to be doing the rounds
Selling players is how we will move forward, you gotta sell players, especially us. The key is twofold tho, gettin the right price for the player and gettin the right plug n play replacement, something we havent got a great track record of.
Birmingham - I know they've just sold Bellingham for big money, but they utterly shiite, and I'm assuming that they are still barely solvent. If he went there I'd be immensely hacked off.
Not in my first eleven. So not a big loss. Lots of effort can’t knock him for that. But end product not quite there for me. Time will tell I suppose.
That's a bit harsh, imho. He must be one of the fittest at the club, runs all day, can play in a variety of positions, always gives 100%. In the forward press we have been operating, has led the line really well. Also has greatest number of assists in the last 2 seasons. It's strange how different people see games differently
Harsh no. Just an opinion of where he stands. In that I’m not so sure. Not questioning his commitment. But as a forward. I wouldn’t have him in my starting 11. Weak finishing, would have him in the squad. But would be more concerned if we lost Woodrow or Mowatt. Let’s see what the Freizer lads like. Thomas I think offers more as an attacking option. Would definitely chose him ( brown) afore Ritzmaier. In other words replaceable for me. Won’t lose any sleep.
Ok, i know what you're saying. However, you're looking at Brown as a pure striker. We know he isn't, Struber knows he isn't. He's been used as a forward runner in the forward press system which we are playing. I'm saying he's doing pretty good at that as he's fit and runs all day. I'm saying he would be missed in the system Struber is playing. You are wanting a goal scoring striker, which would change Struber's forward press, which I don't see Struber abandoning the system which has got us to where we are today
Back in the day we had a lad who was probably technically the worst player ever seen, but he was nearly always first on the team sheet for the big games. He could run all day and we would have him man mark their best player and they wouldn’t get a kick all game. He would have been awesome with this press but would get slaughtered by the fans.
