Brown today ...of our 'better'player he is the one I would have reluctantly preferred to go. Just hope it is not the start of the previous seasons fire sale. I don't trust the board who I have lost faith in and i think would sell their grandmother if an offer came in. I hope I am wrong but my confidence in them has ebbed over the last few seasons.......
I trust them to do what they said they were going to do. Take and develop young talent and sell them to bring in more young talent. I’m glad they’ve moved from the stance that every position has to be part of this and that experience in certain areas is a good thing. I like Brown and I wish him well for the future and if acceptable bids for any of our other players come in and we think we have cover, I expect them to take it. I also think there will be more movement before the window closes. I like the idea that the club is solvent and pays its way. There’s a lot of clubs that don’t.
We've a bright young coach, who the board have tracked for a while, the players he's brought in have helped the squad. There's a togetherness in the team, that hasnt ebbed my confidence, and i for one am quietly confident for the season ahead. So sorry pete i don't agree with you
Is £3.5m rising to £5m AND a 25% sell on not reasonable for a player with three goals last season and less than 100 first team games? That's the figure I keep getting told from various people.
It's a definite IF. But considering it was fairly common knowledge we knocked back over £2 million last week then I'd lean toward that figure than the £2 million people are having a meltdown over.
I'd be happy with those figures. It just pisses me off us saying reluctantly when players r under contract. Id sooner them say we was offered good money and took it and we r confident of replacing him. Or sod the money and make the player honour his contract. Fergie at man u always ensured no player was bigger than the club
