My eldest daughter - born and bred in Sheffield. A Dad, and a load of friends who are Wednesday through and through.
    She’s a Red.

Indeed. Lived in Clayton for going on nine years now.

Home to the Yorkshire Ripper when he first started being an evil lovely person.

No word of a lie, I see as many Barnsley shirts in Bradford as I do any club. There's loads of us.

Ha small world - I may even know you! I spent many a weekend in the Fleece as a teen followed by a greasy curry down Lidget. Pity Clayton doesn't have the village feel any more, just seems more like a suburb nowadays.

Fannys is a great pub, good beer and no tv - proper conversationalists pub, plus the 'collage' in the back room is hilarious!

My favourite though is Cap and Collar, the landlord Phil is a good lad (I play 5-a-side with him), and he really knows his beer. Proper modern craft place and friendly atmosphere. Salt beer factory is pretty good as well.

Maybe the BD Barnsley clan should descend together on an unsuspecting pub to watch a game, everyone togged up in the hallowed red and white, that would be a bizarre sight for the locals!

A few of us descended on Fanny's and Tramshed before the City match 2 years back.

Phil and Rosemary, landlord at Fleece 80s / 90s were a Barnsley couple. Phil was sat behind me at Wembley, JPT.

Home to Albert Pierrepont too, lived in terrace cottage below Black Bull at roundabout. When he wasn't on prison duty.

I was born in Blackpool (my parents had a hotel on the South Shore). Supported Leeds till I was 10. My Dad took me to Elland Road 1st March 1975 for Leeds vs Man City. Next week he took me to Oakwell (Barnsley vs Crewe), the rest is history. Been supporting the reds 45 years now. It's never been dull!
