    I think we went as high as £1.8 and were quibbling over the other £200k as Livingston wanted £2m.

    I think Dykes, Whiteman and Kulenovic are the board's version of Boris Johnson's dead cats. No real intention of signing any of them, get some noise out there about them while actually we sign some off the spreadsheet and some Austrian Bundesliga players that Struber knows.

    As my gran used to say, penny wise, pound foolish. If dykes scores 15 plus this season he will be worth £10 million. Agree with the poster who said we never actually intended signing him. Just window dressing.
