    Wont get him for less than 2 million its 2020 not every club is like us and sells for peanuts. Although I think he will only come if mowatt leaves.

    Does anyone think. If we pay £2m we will have had Donnys pants down. Not knowing anything about the lad. How longs left on his contract and the fact Donny Have a drastically reduced income may play a factor. Don’t know if there’s a bidding war. ( are we the only ones showing interest. ?)

    Tried ringing my Donny season ticket holder mate. Several times. Anyone had reports from such folk. ?

    It seems the club want him. But only at a price They want to pay. I assume based on scouting. and where he is in his career. I also assume they see him as a good investment.

    £2 million for a league 1 player sounds expensive but if he is influential.on us kicking on and proves himself as a championship player then it would be worth it.

    I don't have a problem with us being a selling club but we need some players with us longer term surely otherwise aren't we just a nursery club?

    Every club is a selling club.
    Difference at Barnsley in the past is that we’ve sold players very cheaply.
    That’s not happening now.
    Personally I’ve no problems with money we have got for players sold under these owners.

    Out of interest, why? Most other clubs seem to have a squad of players, with competition for places. Do you advocate we have XI first choice players and half a dozen academy lads every match day?
