You can see why the owners would want to buy the stadium in order to improve it but I'm at a loss how moving away to another ground would be of any benefit other than letting the ground fall into disrepair for the other owners to pay for.

I said at the time I can see us moving away from Oakwell to a new Stadium because of all this but j didn't see us ground sharing else where before hand.

It would be a sad day if we were to move from Oakwell not only as it's been our home for so long but the memories I have with my late father there and the fact its somewhere I still feel close to him would be gone.

I've found the new stadium. In Leyland near Preston.

DW’s available. We’d have to break our transfer record for it though

I said this would happen when we first heard about court proceedings. If you own 80% of a business and the 20% won't sell you the premises, then of course you're going to look at alternatives. I was however expecting a new stadium then leave Oakwell, not expect us to leave the county for home games.

I suspect tomorrow morning "The Club" will release another statement with no name to it so we don't know who's wrote it.

As I understand it and I believe the Crynes far more readily than some random investment fund with no links to the town they are more than happy to sell their share but the investment company have come up with some half cocked nonsense to try and renege on a deal with someone who is dead and cannot speak for himself.

Surely this is a load of rubbish....?

We're not a big club, and if we were moved out of Barnsley nobody would be supporting us.

I guess you could say the same of Coventry it’s probably just grandstanding for leverage but doesn’t give off a great message.

What's in it for the owners to ruin the club in this way?

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that this is just posturing, for now. But there's nothing to be gained for them by doing this.

True... but the quotes from the source sound like a pretty good impression of Dane or Conway to me! You can totally imagine it, which is worrying

Why is it suddenly a big ask to not have your football club chewed up and destroyed by a rogue owner? The survival of Barnsley FC and Oakwell shouldn't be a lot to ask!
