He's spent so many years blowing smoke up Warnock's ass that he can't deal with the deep sense of shame anymore.
If anyone’s ever listened to Under the cosh podcast. The amount of ex players who have been on and told stories about how clueless the man is, it’s quite astonishing. Nobody yet has had a nice word to say about him.
Always was, is and always will be an odious bully who has in the main, pinched a living by hanging on to Warnocks apron strings. I am mates with the father of a former Blades defender who played under Colin and Blackwell during their tenure at Bramall Lane. In keeping with colleagues from that particular squad, he hasn't got a good word to say about the man. Relied on shouting, bawling, swearing and generally demeaning players in front of other members of the team. He succeeded Brian Robson as manager and apparently after a 3-0 loss to QPR in 2010, he was sacked. My contact attended the bash that his son and some of the players attended to celebrate his demise and he reckoned it was a joyous occasion.
The first team coach was with Kevin Blackwell in the dugout, while Neil Warnock watched on from the stands after feeling unwell upon arrival at the Riverside.
Fair play to Warnock. NEIL WARNOCK Welcome to Barnsley this evening – the best club I played at in my career. I think I scored double figures that year, never to be heard of before for a winger... a brainless flying winger, or so I was told. It’s always nice to play Barnsley, a super family club. I was so pleased for them when they survived last year. I found myself jumping up when everyone was telling me because it’s a great achievement for clubs to maintain their place in the Championship, especially when they have started so well and had so much catching up to do. I was pleased for their manager Gerhard Struber, and I’d like to welcome him and his staff, and I’m sure we’ll catch up after the game.
It’s from their programme for tonight’s game. http://s3.amazonaws.com/document.is...207351&Signature=nA6K+A1xO0CjJiHS/1Y7fckz6lA=
