I went out yesterday

    For the first time in six months. We visited Cannon Hall Farm (had to book online a few days previously) and had a great time. It was the first occasion I've had to wear a mask (necessary for entering the various buildings), too. However, wearing a mask and keeping 2m away from other people was easy and hardly required a level of intelligence akin to a rocket scientist.:D
    We then had a meal in the White Bull restaurant, again well managed for keeping a distance to others. I had a bacon sandwich which was delicious and must've contained half a pig there was so much meat in it!:D
    At one point whilst we were walking around, a very pleasant gentleman walked up to me and started talking football (I was wearing a Barnsley t shirt). I had no idea who he was, until Crystal pointed out it was Roger Nicholson, the father of the family who own the farm.
    I can highly recommend a visit there if anyone's interested. It certainly gave me a huge boost to my spirits and well being.

    I've been a good gorilla and kept a responsible social distance from everyone, especially as our daughter has had a kidney transplant and is extremely vulnerable in the current situation. But being out in the warm sunshine and fresh air was wonderful.

    It's a brilliant place and a credit to the town. I go to the farm shop every weekend and you can spend thirty quid in a blink of an eye. Their three for £12 range is top quality food. It's all well managed too with distancing lines on the floor, sanitiser on entry and a member of staff telling you when you can go inside. You usually see Rob or Dave roaming around too from the Channel 5 show with Helen Skelton.

    Many happy memories of taking my kids there. And now I take the dog for a walk and to the dog cafe! They've built up a good business there.

    One of my favourite places to visit Lil. The Nicholsons are massive Reds fans.

    Our little dog gets excited when we approach the dog cafe, because he knows full well, that every time we visit
    there, he's going to get a dog chew. My wife buys one and orders our coffee and snacks and our Henry then settles down
    and gnaws away at his chew until it's all gone. Particularly like sitting on the benches to the rear of the Hall especially if
    the sun is shining. The view over to Cawthorne is absolutely stunning.
