What about the old Rotherham ground (Millmoor)? Don't think anyone is using it now. Could even go to Tivoli after the end of the match for a 10p pint...
There's a big space on Grove Street. Not sure what's there now, i've heard the bogs to the west of the property are rubbish.
I thought the FA/EFL had tightened up the rules on clubs moving towns/cities after the Wimbledon/MK Dons fiasco? I remember someone hight up saying it would never happen again...
Lol. Rugby town. If it wasn't they'd already have a football club of a decent size. You'd effectively be moving the club 14 miles away, building a new ground and getting much smaller crowds.
Absolute "tip" Scoff. Remember parking up round the back at the direction of the local Constabulary and having to walk through a jungle of scrap metal to get to the turnstile. It was around Christmas during the reign of Steve Parkin when we drew 1-1. There's nowhere to park and if I remember correctly, the pitch sloped down at one corner. Honestly don't think I would attend if we ever moved there.
We're a city not a town. There's plenty of reasons a football club hasn't worked in Wakefield, and plenty of reasons why it could and should. We're not moving from Barnsley anyway. It's a non-starter.
What about that big plot of land next to M1 Denby Dale rd that Yorkshire cricket were going to move to a few years ago. We could then rename us Denby Dale Pie United.
I know. Missed out on their first game in Fev but bagged a ticket for their league opener against Jubilee FC on Saturday!
I know. It would cost a fortune to get it up to anything like league standard, and it was a dump when it was open
