    15 ******* years. I'm 32 years old. Nearly half of my life reading utter nonsense on here semi regularly and hours of productive time wasted posting tens of thousands of messages. What a f.cking idiot.

    I think that's when this board started. So if you used the pre-Gally iterations of this message board, it's longer than that.

    Just imagine how good at golf you could've been by now, having secured delivery of milk and ground coffee many years ago.

    I think I was around 97/98 on the forum in it's old guise. Used to be regularly in the chatroom and remember a handful of names that haven't changed since then (yours being one of them).

    Some of the folk on that version lived through my rollercoaster of GCSE's and A Levels over 20 years ago!

    I still miss Radders Chat. It was like the Wild West but with less rules. I was obviously still gobby back then as I remember someone trying to organise a scrap with me. Luckily it was the 90s so I was high

    Joined 1998 ish. I am the original nobody, through various incarnations - this one, barnsleyfc.net, uredz.co.uk, original one with chatrooms (Outpost, Social Club, Bar, Lounge etc)

    I say nobody, because each one of those forums has had regular posts along the lines of "funniest poster", "kindest poster", "most popular poster", "sexiest poster", "biggest WUM" ....... etc and I have never featured on the shortlist of any of them, good or bad. Despite being here since the year dot. I look forward to somebody starting "most irrelevant poster" and seeing the shortlist. ;)

    In real life, met many of you in town, in the Dove, in Redfearns (many of you!!!), on away days, at Oakwell South and on the various WSB and Fired inspired walks (Bradford walk in Prof pic).

    I still remain a nobody, lol. Long may it continue.

    Am I correct in thinking that the original BBS was barnsleyfc.co.uk and that Barnsley FC then took the name over? Or is my memory playing tricks

    That is correct. I’m not sure if anyone can remember the infamous “official” forum when the club and BBS combined under that domain name.

    That's when I first posted on it. I was at college and going through all the websites I liked to check that weren't banned on college internet, looked on the Barnsley FC website and came across the message board like that. Some 20 years ago I imagine.
