Well for perspective, the average age of a Covid death in the UK remains higher than the average age of death.
I think people are missing what my intended point was ......... the hysteria whipped up by the major news channels like BBC, Sky etc. They are constantly throwing petrol on the fire.
The government have provided barrels of petrol that's the problem. There seems to be an endless supply, they never seem to be able to consolidate a position and build on it. Its scatter gun politics missing a true message. Cabinet ministers are forever falling over each of message and unwilling (unable) to provide details to legitimate questions. They like their 3 word slogans. He's my summary of how they deal with everything. Run, Hide, Rhetoric (repeat).
Over 200 deaths in Spain today, people need to take notice. Hands, face, space won't stop this the government need to act now. Business need to see a proper plan.
Good man, I'm the same. A while back I saw a few lads 20 years younger than me about to have a 100m race and I asked if I could join in. Onlookers said that I shouldn't, and should leave it to the younger lot but I insisted and I absolutely wiped the floor with them. Really showed them up. I'm now banned from all future sports days at my daughter's primary school.
Haven't you seen the advert yet then ? Yup it's the new one just out. We all know what we have to do, some of us have been doing it from the start, others couldn't wait to get back out on the pyss and/or to carry on like nothings happening. So the predicted second wave is here, I don't think there'll be another country wide lockdown, I do think a lot of old folk won't see Christmas because of the selfishness of others.
Maybe the government shouldn't have encouraged them to do so with half price meals. Or at least ensured we had a half decent track and trace system in place first.
https://www.thescarboroughnews.co.u...recorded-scarborough-borough-last-day-2974699 EIGHT cases in 24 hours is called a "major incident" and people are being asked to wear masks when out in public. We know where this is going to lead....Masks will become mandatory in all public places and when cases start to go back down government will make you believe it's down to masks, so when it stays mandatory people will be less likely to complain. Of all the places in the country for this to happen first I wouldn't have guessed it would be the sea air of the Yorkshire coast.
Control. A lot of people stand to make a lot of money from a working vaccine. The more power hungry the government get by putting more and more restrictions on everyday life with their dictatorship, the more likely people will be to take the rushed vaccine to get back to old normal life. If they made covid life too easy then more people would question taking it when it becomes available. Masks outside is a ridiculous idea that should never happen. Fresh air, wash your hands and stay away from people.
Daughter works at care home, 28 residents, currently 16 residents and 8 members of staff been confirmed this week. The Manager and A/M gone off to isolate, Council have put the admin person in charge. You would have thought in that scenario they would draft in someone. Ps, not a sight of it in local news etc
I think that's a bit far fetched. Folk will have the vaccine because when you're ill with COVID you know about it. In the same way measles and meningitis can be hence me vaccinating my kids against those.
Those vaccines have been around years. People are rightly cautious of this rushed one where a 37 year old woman got the Oxford one paused because she apparently couldn't walk and was in agony with a spinal problem. Old people are more likely to accept it, but splitting the opinion in half isn't good..... https://news.sky.com/story/coronavi...hey-would-get-a-vaccine-poll-reveals-12045605
