You must be gutted you never saw Ronnie. It's crap being 55 and up **** creek financially, but I saw God playing for us. Plus, Mick, Ian Evans, Banger, Aylott, etc. Ah well. Keep up the good work @Loko the Tyke your interviews during lockdown were the only things that kept me going.

Absolutely gutted mate. I love hearing the ones in our 'circle' that did see him play wax lyrical about how good he was. Same for that whole era really. I don't even really know who you could compare him to from the best players I'll have seen?

Hopefully we'll do a handful more before the end of the year. Not as regular as they were but roll out a couple of special guests every now and again.

You should get King Ronnie if it's possible. Similar players from your era - probably a cross between Brian Howard and Craig Hignett.

I’m 44 and it was 1996 I think I started reading some BFC board, I was on an exchange visit at university in LA and it was only way of keeping in the loop. I was a member of the ‘one list’ email group as well, Changed its name a couple of times - don’t know what happened to that. Ian Davies the Previous marketing manager mentioned in another thread was in that list too I think.

I think we were lucky. Having watched us under McSeveney and Iley out and not known anything better to be there when Allan Clarke was appointed gave me the best years of my footballing life. To see Glavin in his prime along with McCarthy Evans Banks Aylott Parker and others will never be topped for me. Sorry Loko but you did get the Wilson era which wasn’t bad either.

Started posting in 2008 under a different name. My first post was in the lead up to the fa cup tie away at Liverpool. I introduced myself, asked if people were having a nice day and said I was waiting for confirmation I'd got my Liverpool tickets! Little did I know that a few short hours later I'd be getting dogs abuse due to Rowing's fantastic ticket arrangements. :D
