He got there though. It’s still extremely harsh to act as though this is him reverting to his true self and ignoring all the very good stuff he’s done since lockdown
Just shocked that his touch was so bad he gave the ball straight to there striker was then forced to commit a foul and recive a yellow schoolboy error
It’s like a stuck record playing well up to 25 yards from goal and then no final ball or end product and now made a mistake that will probably cost us the game
Good first half from us. Looked the better team but again with little end product. I really like Frieser and Chaplin up front - lots of energy and pressing, just need more chances to be created for them! Helik unlucky to get a red there I thought, although other posters say they say him tug the shirt of the forward so maybe I just missed it. Tough now with 10 men but hopefully we can keep it tight and grab a cheeky winner!
I wonder if we will go 4-5-0 or 3-4-2? It sounds like we need some muscle in midfield. Brown would have been ideal in this situation, pressing, a outlet to receive pressure. Forget the Chelsea game, hold on for a point.
Taking Thomas off for Styles looks to me like 4-3-2 - the diamond he used when he first took over but without the tip of the diamond
I find it extremely boring. No shots or chances created in most games we play nowadays. One thing I will say tho is our pressing is quite impressive.
I can’t agree it’s boring, but we are lacking big time up front. Reminds me of games when it was 2 points for a win
Not a single attempt on (or off!) goal by Reading yet. An hour played for the home side and not a solitary shot, header, knee, scuff or whatever, even in the vaguest direction of goal. Kiss of death, obviously. 2-0 Reading.
Our forwards just don’t gamble. Chaplin put a great cross in earlier across face of goal. But we didn’t have a player near it. Made Chaplin look bad. But it wasn’t the cross
Having watched it 4 times now,Joao looks over to where he is and runs into his path, forcing a collision. He was fast enough to beat him fpor speed but saw that Walton was going to sweep up. He would have earned a free-kick but a sending off? Never. Incompetence seems to have infiltrated every strata of UK life.
