Up until the age of around 23, I didn’t realise local anaesthetic was just designed to numb the area where surgery or dental work was being performed. For some reason I assumed it was some form of locally sourced, sustainable anaesthetic, in the same sense as something like a local cheese or beer. Don’t ask.
I know the difference between Ant and Dec. I couldn’t tell you which one is Noel and which one is Liam, and i don’t know who was lead singer, who was writer etc.
It's taken me nearly 50 years of watching football to realise referees are biased. For nearly 50 years I blissfully and naively thought they were impartial, and that to win a game of football your team just needed to be better than the other team on the day.
Yes, I only found that out last year. To add to the confusion, I believe that the river is pronounced phonetically.
The ÷ sign isn't a random symbol, it's literally a fraction. Only discovered that a few months ago. Ok then next question for us thick lot is how did people think Arkansas was pronounced? Ar-kansas (as in Wizard of Oz) or ark an sass? Or something else? I've only ever known it as arkensaw so can't really picture it as anything else. Also the river is pronounced the same as the state isnt it?
