That's a divide by sign, not a fraction. a fraction is a number that represents a part of a whole. It consists of a numerator and a denominator. The numerator represents the number of equal parts of a whole, while the denominator is the total number of parts. It consists of numbers above and below the line, such as: 1/2 3/4 5/8 etc.
Agree that I've only ever known it pronounced Atkansaw but if I saw it written down without knowing that I can see why you'd say Arkansas.
It's not it's a divide by sign, i.e. 5672 ÷ 6 = x But a fraction is something else..... a fraction is a number less than 1 or 100%.
Ok then I'll word it again.the ÷ sign isn't just a random symbol it is showing a number over another number. ie one number being divided by another. Better?
I thought babies were bought from hospitals till about 10. Can’t remember what I thought about a heavily pregnant woman. . Nice idea though. Would be nice to exchange under warranty. Or get your money back. Sorry kids. Love you dearly most of the time.
Alphabet. Always had trouble with that - usually leaving one or more letters out. Plus saying certain words. Had trouble for years saying parallel. Recently saying pneumoconiosis seems to trip me up.
I don't know the name of a single character in Emmerdale and Eastenders, and only one in Coronation street-Ken Barlow But then...should I know?
Slaithwaite is not pronounced Slaythwaite and it pisses the locals off if you do pronounce it like that.
