With Silva gone and Aguero out injured, Man City really look to be struggling. Absolutely hammered 2-5 at home by Leicester City today. Jamie Vardy on target yet again with a well deserved hat trick.
He's done for. Nothing ever changes with him: he blows £40million+ on loads of useless defenders, and they are no less porous than they were before. I'm delighted, because Ci'eh are a vile club.
After spending well over a billion pounds and never finding an academy first team regular and never look like winning the champions league, any other manager would have been fired by now.
Im looking at the "minimal contact" pens...ok i accept that these days these situations are now spot kicks but we have now buzz words like "inviting contact" as normal. I will look forward to watching our next game and to see if we can invite the same contact! bloody hell leicester have just been awarded in one match what it takes u s 3 and a half seasons to achieve!
I agree with you. Unlimited amounts of blood money squandered, and his mates from Barcelona already running the place in preparation for his arrival. Ajax, Monaco, Leipzig, Lyon, and Spurs have all got closer to the Champions League than he has at Ci'eh. I think he is finished.
Not for me HF. With what they've already got and the additions they have already and could make before the window closes, I honestly can't see past Liverpool retaining the title.
Vardy just 15 touches in the match, 3 goals. 5 penalties in 2 games and not one would have been given for us. Basically, the faintest of touches and they try to tangle their own legs with the defender and go over. Ultra slow motion makes it look worse. Used to be called cheating in the old days but now they're called clever.
Not really a gambler mate. It was more a reference to all those Leicester fans who panicked and cashed out early last time. But I hope they mix it up a bit to give the big boys a scare.
Agree HF. My cousin is a Catholic priest in the Leicester Diocese and City have for a number of years provided him with a free Season ticket. He never misses a game, so for his sake, I hope the Foxes do well again this season. I watch them on Match of the Day and am always pleased to see Harvey Barnes play. He's improved a lot in the past two seasons and can't be far off being called up by Gareth Southgate surely.?
Foden joined City at the age of eight in 2009. His first ever manager, was Mark Hughes ,but it was really Roberto Mancini that first nurtured him when he took the job in the December of that same year. So although Pep didn't really influence his initial " recruitment", he was responsible for his 2017 first team breakthrough after some truly outstanding performances for City's second string and the England U19 team. If he can keep on the straight and narrow and applies himself fully to improving his game season upon season, with the talent already around him, he could possibly be one of the best ever players to don the famous Sky Blue shirt. Hopefully, his and Mason Greenwoods recent "indiscretions " of breaking the Covid protocol whilst away on England duty, won't be held against them when Gareth Southgate is selecting future full England international squads, because both lads could well go on to have an influential effect on England's future prospects.
I love seeing him getting exposed. Absolute chequebook manager, and an utterly contemptible hypocrite when it comes to human rights issues. He wears his ribbon for Catalan political prisoners whilst happily taking and spending the money of a regime with an awful human rights record. If questioned he just plays dumb. He's spent £350 million on defenders at City (over £400m if they get this Dias bloke). That works out as annually equivalent to the defence budget of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The DRC is the 11th largest country in the world by land area, but Pep can't even defend a box measuring 18 yards by 44.
Thank you for the auto correction, i remember at college i was constantly pulled up for splitting my infiiatives.
Agree completely, horrible little hypocrite of a man. However, it is extremely funny when he loses and regresses to a 2 year old with his behaviour. One of the few things that will actually get me to switch on MotD.
