US not letting people in and apparently they are looking at someone else.. Was just reported on the Newark ESPN sports station. They are looking at a Portugese bloke now who is already in US.
No surprise at all. They’ve clamped down a lot over the years. And also with C-19, it’dbe even more difficult with his family too. They’d all have to move over, he couldn’t risk going alone. Whether true or not, it makes sense.
You would have thought that Red Bull would have known about immigration problems before approaching Barnsley over Struber
Conway: hey Mr President The Don: Paul, good to hear from you Conway: I have a big problem, our manager is leaving to come to the USA The Don: Don’t worry Paul, I know you, you are a really terrific guy, I’ll sort this, I’ll just build a huge wall around Oakwell, your guys not going anywhere Conway: Thank you Mr President, you are the best president of all time The Don: why thank you Paul, and I hear you are having the best transfer window in history too Conway: Hey Mr President, do you want to know something hilarious, some people think I’m a billionaire The Don: same with me Paul, same with me Conway: well thanks again Mr President The Don: no problem. Hey next time you see that Chien Lee, tell him that Chinese virus might have cost me an election. And block that Alan nixon on Twitter, he’s just fake news
A proactive ownership would’ve had a replacement in place. He’s not shown any indication publicly that he wants to leave. However, hypothetically speaking here. If Struber has shown a desire to leave the club maybe the owners have already sealed his fate? Could we expect another Stendel situation happening? Hopefully Struber had no intention of leaving at all and he gets the player(s) he wants in the next week or so and we finally begin our season.
You don't mean .... DUE DILIGENCE do you. Chuff me. It happens, or doesn't, all over the world but Barnsley seem to be at the centre of it all.
Hopefully he stays. But I’m sure the owners already have a short-list of appointments ready. We track managers and players for years now. That’s the standard. It doesn’t always work, but 2/3 ain’t bad! Morais didn’t work - but we played well in spells. Stendel worked. Struber worked. Better record than most other clubs in that respect to be fair.
If Red Bull have not done their homework its hardly the fault of BFC is it , although they do seem to get the blame for everything.
