I don’t like it either and we seem to suffer more than our fair share of managers being poached. Ainsworth has been at Wycombe for ages for example, hasn’t he? I don’t think it’s the best move for Struber either. He’ll have left two clubs in rapid succession so unless he is a success in New York he might find it hard to get his next job. He’ll get a reputation like Mark McGee. Whenever you take any role you need to think about how it will help you get the job after that and while it’s understandable to treat us as a stepping stone who will employ someone if they think they’ll leave in less than a year.

I am quite happy with having a team still to watch when many may go bust and so a few million euros will help balance the books.

Or someone already at the club, even cheaper still.

Says a lot for state of affairs when a manager only into his 3rd season is thought of as long term.

Yeah. Agree. £1.8m for any Champ manager is very good business tbf. Not the club’s fault. And can’t blame Struber either.

Success for players and managers means they’ll always leave. Same for 95% of clubs really.

If I was in stubers shoes I'd be jumping ship....no doubt he will be getting a good pay deal out of it....and let's not forget theres only one guarantee when you become a manager /head coach .....sooner or later you can expect to be sacked....
Take Ritchie for example ....the Don stopped him from speaking with Wednesday when they came a calling... a few months later Don and co sacked him.....
Such is the merry go round in football .....
So I'd like to say thank you for your time here enjoy New YorK the best you can ..hope you make a success of your time there....onwards and upwards for yourself and BFC for the future

For Conway and co...I'd say......ready steady.......Cook......for the hot seat .

So would I, but I was talking in the context of business as usual not exclusively in these Covid dominated times

I’m thinking it’s already sorted but Struber has agreed to take the Boro game before leaving so giving us the two week international break to bring in his replacement.

All getting a bit boring now this isn’t it - like Groundhog Day. He’s definitely going it would have been quashed by now should it be any different.

If he doesn't go then he's a brave man, this season could ruin his reputation In my opinion.
