Liverpool and going out of business and aren’t going to be requesting help. It’s your Rochdales and other community clubs, where players earn a decent but not extravagant living and the club employs many other non playing staff and is a symbol of the community- that’s what’s going to be lost not Mo Sallas 200k a week salary. It’s not up to him or other premiership players to fund the rest of the league. What’s needed is fans to be allowed back in or these clubs are going to go bust.

SO Covid doesn't represent a threat then?... people queuing at turnstiles to get into the ground, shouting singing and chanting during the game (shouting and singing is proven to expel microparticles greater distances than talking) Also whilst stadiums are outdoors the very nature of the tiers of seating means large groups of people even socially distanced can lead to microparticles being present over certain areas of the seated fans.
What about the real world where people are laid off, furloughed and wages cut? Is football immune in your opinion?

It’s one of the bizarre benefits of our current ownership situation with the ground.
With the club not owning the ground if the whole football league collapsed, including the current BFC set up, it would be easier for us than most for a new team to rise from the ashes and have an excellent ground to play from.

There is enough money in the game, the trouble is the set up of the game. Neither the EFL & PL are actually connected and are two different entities who trade with each other, equally when it come to commercial aspects(money) the FA have no powers.
I agree it’s wrong and needs amending.

I dont know the figures but how much would barnsley actually lose in a year when theyve sold wilkes and brown plus over 7500 season tickets plus other matchday passes?
I know its certainly difficult, thats a given, but how much is the shortfall approx?

Around WW1, women's football was attracting attendances similar to that of the Premier League now until it was banned in 1921.

Teams should receive support based on their ratio of income which comes from gate receipts, on a sensible cut off so that those at risk of going out of business because of the no fans rule can continue to run. In the real world we’ve been subsidising people for 6 months to the tune of hundreds of billions already.
