http://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/yesssss-harvey-barnes-stunner.260516/#post-2031757 Took three years but it was clear early on that his England and Leicester chances would happen
He did well for us and they seemed strange circumstances at the time when he was recalled by Leicester. It all happened so suddenly out of the blue. He'll look back on his time with us as a turning point in his career .... the day he left !
Looks a quality player, his game has really improved these last two seasons. I can see bigger clubs sniffing before long.
He'd be better off staying put. They're a club that challenges for Europe every year now, they have an unbelievable squad, particularly midfield. Don't end up like James at Man Utd, or Drinkwater at Chelsea.
Yeah I agree, its whether he can prioritise his football or the potential mega wages that these clubs can offer. Leicester won't be that far off wages wise anyway I wouldn't have thought.
Aye. It's crazy to see that Leicester and seemingly Everton now too are joining that clutch of clubs pushing on for the European places. All amidst a worldwide pandemic. Millions getting spent all over the place. Even Aston Villa throwing cash around like confetti. During a pandemic. Meanwhile, Macclesfield no longer exist, and the rest of us below the top flight are on our arsês.
The disparity is obscene. The Have Nots could easily fold, the Haves continue to spent 10s of millions - was always going to happen when the Prem was formed with their grabbing of most of the money
It smells of ****. The Premier League have a responsibility to help the EFL. I'm really pleased for Harvey, thought he was excellent for us & has gone on in leaps & bounds since. Without the experience he got in the EFL with us, would he have achieved so much? The pyramid is wider at the bottom. Take away the foundations & the whole thing is ******.
Well done Harvey, enjoyed following his career and he’s made my fantasy football team, so double success !!!
