Not really. Agent may have talked to clubs over the release clause. Not Struber. So much wrong with all that. work it out for yourself . Others do.
In fairness, if we lost with our new management team of Pep and Klopp handing a debut to new signing Messi, that would still be the case. Some things are just inevitable.
Fair enough. I'm increasingly disappointed / disillusioned that we don't appear to have anyone (perhaps an exaggeration - very few) players, managers, coaching staff who actually want to be here medium to long term rather than viewing us as a stepping stone on the way to getting something better as soon as possible. I understand that the long term plan for the club is to grow and progress such that they want to be a part of what's being built and in it for the long term but I think we're some way away from that and in the meantime I feel that it denigrates the club and by association (maybe another exaggeration) the town. I can't think of another club in the UK who are such an extreme selling club and it's sometimes a bit depressing. For that reason I'd rather he just went rather than talking about it.
Correct Stairfoot.red it doesn’t matter who’s in charge until we sort out the top end of the pitch we’re gonna have the same old problem which is scoring goals.
The thing is that's why our club attract these players and coaches. It's the fact that it's mutually agreeable that the club won't stop them furthering themselves and making the club money in the process.
Struber said his agent had spoken to clubs. Not that his agent had approached clubs. There's no contradiction. You made a claim that Struber's agent had been trying to get him a move for months, but there is zero evidence to support that claim.
Agree. But imo only because we only look at that type of player. And it doesn't appear to be working very well atm given the difficulty we're having in securing the signings we need.
Assume you mean the quotes I've taken from the below? You're allowed to speak to people that work in the same sector as you. Speaking to someone doesn't mean an approach was made or any 'tapping up' has taken place. It would only be an illegal approach if an approach was made - assuming one wasn't based on your assessment of our club not lodging an official complaint with Huddersfield Again, this is an assumption that the agent has contacted clubs and not the other way round. We'll never know which it is. I'm not defending any party here. Only opining that the situations are clearly very different and some people are making claims that are an evolution from the quotes out there.
Surely the coaches are told of the long term plans of the club before they put pen to paper ? Lots has been said about the owners and probably some are true and some are not we’ve all got our opinions on what we see happening and some of us see it entirely different to others which is fair enough but to think that GS or DS have been sold a pup is imo way off the mark . But if it’s true then Struber should be sacking his agents because I’m sure the DS affair was there for them to see and analyse and I’m sure the clubs transfer record and how it works was put to GS and his agents before he signed . I’m unsure what’s gone off tbh apart from the rumours etc but I don’t believe for one minute that GS didn’t know and agree either the clubs transfer policy or recruitment as it was public knowledge how it worked and imo wouldn’t have been hidden from them .
Helik for Diaby I can understand. If you don't rate Bahre, and you feel you need more physical players in midfield, don't replace him with Ritzmaier. Brown was acting as the nearest thing we have to a target man. Signing Frieser to replace him just takes money out of the budget that can be used for a Moore type, if that's what we're looking for.
We just need so clarity... Is he leaving or not... Its doing my head in... The club needs to say... Its been a week of torture.
We clearly have very different views but yes I fully agree the situations are very different. Stendel was sacked. Struber hasn't been sacked.
I admire those who are still putting a positive spin on the current situation - but you're jumping through more and more hoops to do so. Hopefully it all works out for the best, but for the long term future of on the field matters It's currently a bit of a shambles.
