Back em or bugger off! Social distancing protest outside OAKWELL. Would anything at all even a protest get through to these absolute reprobates?
I will be protesting later by sitting on the patio of my local bar, looking over the bay, enjoying the 29C, and knocking back far too many Sculpin IPAs. I'll be back for the next game, next season, next manager, next signing, next saleable asset, etc. If 2020 hasn't shown you that there is more to life than football, then I don't know what will.
I miss fresh pints of Sculpin in the Bay Area. Eight months and counting since I last visited ....... Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing is my beer of choice over your way.
The way to protest was not to renew season tickets. Hit the owners in the pocket, that's the only thing they care about.
Why not get on with it then. Pretty sure it already is a concern of theirs as well. They too read social media.
Haven’t been there! Just been further up the ‘piers’ where the Ferry Building is and around their. I’m going to get this completely wrong, but don’t San Francisco Brewery have a taproom near the Guiradelli Square which is opposite Pier 39?
San Francisco Brewing was the first microbrewery in the city, and was on Columbus. It closed down sometime ago, before the ****-hit-the-fan pandemic. A new place opened with the same name a couple of years ago in Ghirardelli Square, which is actually 2-3 blocks north of Pier 39. I was in there around October last year, when a friend and I were on a pub crawl back from the Warming Hut in the Presidio, just under the Golden Gate Bridge. We'd been to see the Red Arrows flyover the GG Bridge for some publicity photos. I found out then, that this place used the name of the original place, but they are not associated with the original owners. It is depressing to read the online local rag on a daily basis and see the permanent closing of many of my favorite haunts. An 85-year old Irish bar went yesterday.
I visited them about 12-18 months ago. Walked there from Polk when I was having to entertain myself for a few hours as the better half worked. The speed at which the restrictions are being lifted is too slow for some of these guys to survive. Terribly sad
