Ludewig has been decent, Schmidt kept us up for his faults, too early to judge fridge freezer. But to be fair Ritzmaier is baffling. Pretty sure I could hold my shape in a formation and do nowt with the ball.
Sorry but his brutal honesty is only what many have claimed since these cowboys rode into town Today weve had certain things confirmed No ambition...yes its unorthodox in his approach but I personally thank him for telling it how it is.....how many managers players who have walked out of the oakwell door have levelled ambition or the lack of it as reasons for leaving......theres a long list... Whilst I dont agree how hes been dealing with his search for other jobs.....I can't fault him for calling out these cowboys.... At least hes had the balls to call them out.... And show them up for the charlatans they are ....
If his ambition is to play a team full of third rate Austrians in a pathetic formation designed to grind out nil nil draws then I'm glad his ambition isn't matched.
I love Struber. If I were a hyper-ambitious, demonstrably-talented football manager who had been instructed to build a team with the equivalent of some silly string, a shoe-box and a broken desk-fan, I'd be telling it like it is, too. If he doesn't want to be here, who can blame him? If he's trying to get himself sacked, who can blame him? I love the club, but I'd not be able to get out the door fast enough. Fair play to him.
Maybe he wanted to sign better players but wasn't given the finances to so had to sign those he did. What he said wasn't anti Barnsley it was anti the board and to be honest he said nothing the two previous managers didn't also say, the board lack ambition league position isn't important to them making money selling players for more money than they paid for them his we are no longer a football club in the old sense we are a football player retail organisation with branches in other countries.
Yes his team selection was poor and formation equally as bad ....parting shot maybe saying this is the shower of 5h1t I'm expected to work with.... I'm not blaming the players it's not their fault they aren't good enough...
Woodrow was prolific before he changed the system. Chaplin was prolific before he changed the system. Mowatt was prolific (at scoring and getting assists) before he changed the system. Brown was prolific with assists before he changed the system. Prior to the changes struber made we had a nucleus of players good enough for this league. He is now trying to blame them for his failings as manager and undermining them by constantly saying they aren't good enough
I'm not as certain as you, he only needs to stumble through a couple of results and it'll be the let's give him time scenario
Some of our better players aren’t performing under Struber, for whatever reason, but Chaplin’s purple patch was under Struber, and I think it was January when Brown and Mowatt were topping the assist leagues. Valid on Woodrow. A shell of the player he was.
Honestly can’t see it mate. He’s already publicly said the main job isn’t for him and he prefers the coaching side. I’m not sure he was even interviewed last time out.
