Fair enough, couldn't be arsed to look at how may games they'd played or the contract situation for the three of them tbh so was just throwing that out there.
If the release clause of €2m is true and the benefit of £6m for staying in the Championship Gerhard has been a great financial success. I wonder if the club will retain an interest in his future?
As a silver lining to this cloud, can anyone confirm the rumour that Ritzmare goes too as part of a BOGOF package?
This announcement, presents the Board with a gilt edged opportunity to appoint the right person for the job. Would it be best to deviate from the original modus operandi, viz ditch the spreadsheet and appoint a Manager instead of a coach.? Forget Murray, ditto Lee Johnson. Someone of the ilk of a Mick McCarthy or Paul Cook who have an in depth knowledge of the Championship and the type of players we need to stay in the Championship. They've no need to spend a fortune. They would need to get shut of some of the fringe players and those currently on loan elsewhere, to recruit the required quality.?
0 Your post has logic. But it presumes our board are interested in playing results and league tables rather than player trading. They've signed a shed load of league one players (at best). But a good season makes them more saleable. Hence...we go down.
What are people getting their knickers in a twist for, on the attack against Struber? Utter ridiculous behaviour. All he has done is say that he has more ambition than being in the relagation spots and want this team to move forwards.. So those now being critical? Isn't that what most folk have been saying? We need attacking options, more quality? He is making his position very clear. I am sure when he took the position, he would have been told he would have that backing. If you were not given the right tools to do your job, pretty sure most folk start to look around for another opportunity. I certainly would. Some of the comments on here have been nothing short of disgusting.
No they haven't. They've criticised him on a professional level. There's been nothing personal. No personal abuse (as far as I'm aware). But there's been criticism of his interview, his tactics, his team selection and his negativity. Is this not allowed any more?
It’s a bit of both really. For a couple of minutes, in that interview, our manager took his professional hat off and spoke like a fan rather than as a manager. Some respect that in that he clearly shares the fans views regarding investment in the team, while others are up in arms regards his brief lack of professionalism. Myself, I just saw it as his parting shot.
First one in the thread below for starters. If that is on a professional level, it's not the definition of professional I am familiar with. http://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/i-think-struber-is-telling-you-a-pack-of-lies.295997/
