I actually don't mind Schmidt. Seems to know where the net is - albeit his all round game is limited (or it must be because we don't see him on the field).

I'd take someone who can finish though over someone who 'keeps his shape and plays within the system'

1 first teamer, and one taking up a place belonging to one.

Bahre might come good, (grabs tin hat and curls into a ball).

I'd be starting him with Woodrow. Not a target man, but someone that will get in the box and not have his head explode if he gets the ball.

He's the only Number 10 in the squad. And he can't even make the bench ahead of Victor.

    He might.

    But not at football.

I reckon he'd make a good Amazon Delivery Driver.

Yes, fifteen times round Stairfoot roundabout then run out of steam in the bus lane and stick his hazard lights on.

I'd expect him to sprint from the van, somersault over the fence, knock at the door whilst doing a handstand and then realise he'd forgotten the package.

It once took me half an hour to get round Stairfoot roundabout to the B&Q. I kid you not

I genuinely hope the incoming coach gets the best out of him. He's a frustrating player to watch at times, particularly in front of goal, but undoubtedly talented. He was clearly not a Struber player, but didn't deserve to be frozen out of the squad.

Given the lack of incoming transfer activity so far, we need to utilise the available squad we have to the full.

Don’t forget how far down the domestic leagues we tend to shop.

I always thought some of the stick he got was a bit over the top, he wasn’t that bad and we’ve had far worse.

But I’ve also got to say that I’m not that bothered about him leaving. Apart from his discipline and off the ball work, I’m not sure what he brings at this level. I’ve certainly never gone “wow” after he’s done something that’s for sure.
