so would I - but its possible the formula got changed, or he picked a slightly different version to one he had used before - we dont know. All I do know is that its an incredibly easy thing to slip up on
It’ll be in nearly all of the fat burner supplements (and a lot of other supplements) sold in every gym in the country.
More recently Billy Joe Saunders was stripped of his World Title because a substance in his nasal spray contravened VADA rules, but was fine with WADA and UKAD providing you didn't test positive for it on the day of a fight.
You’re equating banned substance with something difficult to get or illegal. I’m sure we’ve all unwittingly taken ‘banned substances’ in the past, in prescription medicine, supplements, protein shakes etc. Seems quite easy to do, especially if mis-labelled.
I bet if it were one of the Premier League "stars" we wouldn't be talking about a 2 year ban would we?
I bet we would. From the sounds of it Bambo hasn't really provided any decent evidence at all to support his claim that he couldn't have known the ingredients so the ban is the only outcome really. Now not being able to give any evidence that you didn't know isn't the same as bit knowing. I can't prove that I don't know who the lead singer of Bros is but I don't. The only way I could see a premier league player getting away with it is they've got more money to throw at the defence rather than the authorities treating him different
This stuff you can probably buy over the counter in vitamins and all sorts from Holland and barrett. Dodgy labelling to conceal real ingredients. Bob's ya uncle.
Sorry, wasn't criticising you. I'd only looked it up half an hour earlier. I was just passing on what I'd learnt. Wasn't having a go. Just letting you know what I'd read. Apologies if it seemed I was being an @rsehole.
Nah it really didn't. I just reflected and realised that it was a bit twattish to insinuate things about a player who seems to be a decent bloke.
Bang on. Makes me laugh when you see Ronaldo & Bale putting on loads of muscle & been just as fit over 90 minutes & then all these Bayern players that have sudden changes in physiques. Pretty obvious what’s going off but as it’s more than likely organised team doping they make sure they pass the tests & it’s people like Bambo taking stuff on his own that get caught
As a footballer you shouldn’t be buying anything that isn’t approved by the clubs medical staff. He may claim it came from Strepsils but all logic suggests it would’ve came from a supplement he was taking. You only have to search the name of the substance to find how many supplements it’s in. Maybe he just thought he wouldn’t get caught, players regularly go full seasons without been drugs tested. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the first time he’d been drugs tested in his career given the leagues he’s played in previously.
