    But we don't have a rivalry with Doncaster. We've only been in the same division about 8 or 9 times since the 70s. I've never got excited about playing them and i see them only as distant cousins

    I just don't see the rivalry though Marlon. It doesn't make any difference to me, similar to getting Keith Hill from Rochdale for me

    I’ve worked with a few of em and to say they were in conference at the time you’d have thought it was Man U second coming .
    Very derogatory about our club as well especially when there was only me and they were team handed , they really pulled our club and fans down .
    Ryan’s call of a sleeping giant was taken literally by them but when they built a fifteen k stadium I really went to tarn on em aided I might say by some Wendy and Dee dar united workmates who’s watched em give me stick over years .
    Let’s say it was very satisfying lol

    Glad you some of your own back. I suppose I've never had the (mis)fortune to work with their fans, but I still don't see the rivalry from our perspective. They may indeed pull us down and be derogatory, but I just see them as meh whatever. They don't mean anything to me

    Believe me. Some on em think their history matches ours. Then when they find out they’ve always been in our shadow. It becomes “ah but“. Ah but what I ask.

    Pre 80s they and Rotherham were our rivals. And we played em on a regular basis. Where as for the last 40 yrs. Wendy, Blunts. Leeds became our rivals. They don’t see it that way. But it was fact. And hurts em like fcku.

    Jesus there star midfielder would have jumped at the chance to move from donny to barnsley if we had stumped up the cash they wanted. Still might if mowatt leaves before the domestic window ends.
