    Eric Dier, a serial underachiever for club and country, continues to get picked for club and country, without any vilification from the media or the armchair experts.

    Whilst I appreciate John Stones can’t play for England if he doesn’t play for Citeh, the rough ride he’s been given in the press compared to some of the current darlings is obscene.

    I agree, Eric Dier is a car crash of a defender, couldn't lace Stones boots, but also if Declan Rice is international quality I'll eat my fur lined cap.

    It is if the ball is a hot potato with England. As soon as they get it they play it sideways or back creating no creativity at all - boring, As soon as Belgium go forward they look like getting something. Lukaku is looking world class!

    Spot on, Dier is absolutely awful. A very very limited footballer, how he's managed so much game time in the PL I don't know. Harry Maguire is another one that gets a free ride in the press, the only person I've heard take him to task is Roy Keane and yet poor old stonesy makes one small mistake and he's the worst England International ever!!!

    Ah, but Harry Maguire beats his chest really hard and ‘drinks all the jäger’ so he must be a better player than Stones. He cost nearly twice as much and isn’t even better than him.
