Ridiculous, fair play to Donny their obviously holding out for top dollar. Whiteman surely isn't the only option out there tho.
We've bid in covid times when cash is low, over a million quid for a third division player. Not sure the club is to blame.
But the club may simply think the player is not worth The fee what Donny are asking. That is no criticism of either club, it happens
I wouldn't give £2m for him in this climate. They may have wished they'd accepted the offer if we've no crowds in for the rest of the season.
We don't know what they are "pissing about" over. We've bid over a million already. Donny might be holding out for another 100k or another million quid we have no idea.
a) a few hundred grand is a lot of money b) you don't know it's "a few hundred grand" it might be more. c) it isn't your money. It's very easy to spend other peoples money. d) I'm not sure that a L1 player is the answer imho. We need Championship experience now, not next season
Yet again we’ve thrown all our eggs into one basket and not got the signing over the line we’ve been apparently chasing all summer, so whichever midfielder we bring in now (if we even do at all) is just a massive panic signing. And once again we’ve been shown by other clubs how to deal with clubs wanting your best players, by not accepting the first offer and getting as much as you can for the player. The selling club should have all the power but it never seems that way with us, we just crumble to the bigger clubs and it most likely will happen later today or tomorrow when Cardiff come in with a lowly offer for Woodrow.
Maybe we have only offered 7 figs . Throw in a couple of olives and grapes on top and I reckon it's a done deal.
