Given that you replied to a post on here Saying ‘no wonder players don’t want to sign for us’ I thought there must be some evidence somewhere that a player didn’t want to sign for us simply because of what was posted on a forum or other Social Media. Negative comments on a fans forum, be they many or few, do not represent the comments or views of all the fans. I don’t believe players think they do either
Seems a reasonable signing given the current financial circumstances football finds itself in. Low risk and offers us something different. Looking forward to watching him play.
Literally the only problem I foresee is if they force us to play him, we had to play Kent in 70%of games or were fined apparently.
I’d say it’s at the top of our list or not far from it. Creative, dynamic, midfielder, right footed, set pieces. He’s basically a shoe in for the starting XI when fit. We’ve been massively lacking on the right side of midfield all season.
5 ft 8 Right footed and attacking central midfielder and good set piece and free kick taker. Played last few games of last season after the covid break.
I understand what you are saying, but what I am saying that there are so many negative comments on some players that we sign before we have even seen them play, or in some cases before we even sign, that if as a player you saw them, why would you want to sign. Let us give everyone an equal chance and if they fail, then so be it, but if they turn out to be amazing then support them. A classic example would be Callum Styles, if I were to do a straw poll of how many people thought he was rubbish initially I am almost certain that it would be a high percentage, but if I asked the same question now, I can guarantee that percentage would be lower. I suppose what I am trying to say is, let us give everyone a fair crack of the whip and not dismiss them before they have even kicked a ball in a red shirt. You Reds!
So our current 'professionals' who have plenty of time on their hands to practice this aren't good enough? So what do we pay then for!!!???
I agree with pretty much of what you say about the ridiculous unnecessary negativity about a new signing and a rumoured signing. As you say players should be given a fair crack of the whip, It was just that part about not signing for us because of this I disagree with.
Not even kicked a ball yet and we are getting at him. Been a gd player for donny. At Liverpool so cant be that shabby . Good luck Herbie
Not seen much of him but was impressed by him at Oakwell for Donny the other season. Looking forward to seeing him in a reds shirt. I wouldn’t worry about him been injured most of last season, it happens. He’s had a full pre-season & he’ll be raring to go
I personally cant see what all the negativity is for. Similarly, I can't see why lots of people are over-positive. He could be brilliant, he could be garbage. Just wait and see (and don't make your mind up after one game). A bit of perspective.....
There'll be no issue with that cos we've barely any other players. Happy with the signing though if true - good luck Herbie.
Good signing, talented lad well done BFC who gives a monkeys how tall he is, some of the best players in the world are small! Jesus wept!
Brilliant signing. The sort of player we should be looking at. I'd have preferred a permanent deal, but a loan will suffice for the time being. They were raving about him when he was on loan at Donny the season before last. When we played them at Oakwell that season, he was the best player on show, and scored the opening goal. He was let down that day by Marquis in front of him, who didn't know the offside rule. He's had 7 games on loan at Hull where he hasn't pulled up any trees by all accounts, but scored twice in that time in a very poor side. I'm optimistic about this one. He might just be that bit of bite we're missing in the middle of the park.
