    We don't have a holding midfielder. This is an unbelievable signing for us. We can't be relying on Styles week in week out just yet otherwise the pressure might burn him out, so adding two very different right footed midfielders, plus experience, could be a genius bit of business.

    Our flexibility and balance in midfield improves no end as well.

    Aye. Like I said I'm coming round to it now. I think it's seeing all those holding midfielders spoiling the broth for England the other night and remembering Gardner and Williams.

    I really rated James when he was here last time round, a much better midfielder than Morsy (who we had on loan earlier in the campaign), in my opinion.
    I'd be dead chuffed if we could get this one over the line. It would show we're beginning to build up both the quantity & quality of our squad, provided we don't sell anyone obviously.

    He got better game by game, but his ability on the ball and quality of passing is really top quality. You know you've got a very good player when they play with a serenity and calmness.

    Having him as a mentor for Styles and Palmer would be a massive plus.

    It's all about opinions, mine's no more valid than yours, but I am surprised by this, I thought he was absolutely excellent.

    As were Hourihane, Brownhill, Scowen and Morsey. God, what talent we let go.

    Not me, it’s me putting 2 and 2 together and getting 8 of anything. Just thinking he’s not signed that deal and the club would probably try and cash in on him.
