No!!! You're wrong!! If they sign extended deals it will only be because the Board will get more money for them in January. ......and of course, despite how eager Herbie and Callum sound about joining us, what on earth makes them think that we'll be good at helping them develop their careers. .....and as for Matty James, should he come back on loan, with Brendan Rogers' endorsement, how the hell can we accommodate him now that we have too many midfielders?! The whole thing stinks.
Fair play, from a low base, I'm edging towards praise if we keep Mowatt and Woodrow, get James over the line and add at least one quality athletic striker. The fullness of the glass very much revolves on the last for me. We'll still be light of a natural left-sided defender and thin in terms of pace and quality upfront imho but at least we'll have addressed some of the gaps positively.
