    Refine it. Just use “umpires call” for close decisions and stop penalising people with a shoelace offside. Revert offside law back to “clear daylight” between defender and attacker.

    That will achieve nothing because all you'll have is scrutinising the video looking for one pixel of daylight.

    The only solution to offside is to use a sensor and agree on one specific body part being the key. Who cares if an arm is offside or a nose or hair etc. It simply has to be one key body part. For me that's a belt around the waist or even a sensor sewn into a shirt. that way there's no arguing and the only variable will be VAR deciding on the point the ball was played. After that it's simply a case of sensor says yes or no.
