I dont think we ever have mind you we never appeal either - I thought we should have appealed Heliks against Reading but we didnt - some teams would have
Nobody really appeals one match bans anymore unless the decision is ridiculously bad. Easier to just take it on the chin than risk the ire of the FA and an extension. Plus we had a free hit with Chelski so there really was no point. I'm sure it costs money to appeal as well.
After game footage revealed it was actually Cam McGeehan who made the challenge on Frieser and will be issued a 3 match ban instead
It’s not the assistant referees job to deal with these incidents ??? WTF Can we go back to calling them lines person then ?
Thats true and you are right appealing in those circumstances wouldnt have made sense as doubltless it risked him missing the next proper game I cant remember us ever appealing a red card though - have we ever done it?
I was just thinking that last night. We'll get even less free kicks now than normal (not that we get that many) as we'll be "simulating"
This is what I can’t fathom , there was no retrospective action for this by the ref so EFL should deal with it . Nothing was even mentioned by the EFL about that incident yet they over turn a card because only the “ ASSISTANT REFEREE “ saw it . Either these ass refs are not valid or it smacks of big club favouring again . This Rick Parry administration is turning into a disaster for the majority of EFL clubs Imo .
Be interesting to know what angle he's been able to watch back, because nothing on TV could show the incident.
Id love to see the footage - if the linesman was mistaken and there wasnt an elbow thrown what did he see. Did Frieser dive was there an accidental collision -I would really like to know what camera showed the red card was clearly a wrong decision
