So we're down to one fit left back and one fit right back at the club? Just from one injury to a full back, poor planning for a professional club.
Should we have had 3 for each full back position? Not sure as a club we can carry such numbers Just incredibly unfortunate to lose 2 full backs. Fingers crossed Williams is precautionary
3 for each position? Bare minimum should be 2 for each position. Ben Williams was injured months ago and hasn't been replaced.
Hamstring injuries occur out of the blue without symptoms or warning. However the type of excercises the players are subjected to in training can have an affect. If they are twisting, stretching or putting their limbs in unnatural positions, that can have an adverse consequences. I played quite a lot of local football on Saturdays and Sundays when I lived in Doncaster. I only ever had one hamstring injury. I always remember that I set off to chase a ball that one of our defenders played down my wing. As I turned inside the full back, it was as though someone had stuck a knife in the back of my leg. I could hardly walk for around three weeks due to the pain, although that was bad, the worst injury I ever had was cracked ribs. I was in agony everytime I tried to take a breath and the medics couldn't do anything to help apart from give me some painkillers.
We arent really playing full backs though with 3 at the back so its really a wing back position and we have a couple of others who could play there if needed - we also have Halme who cant even get on the bench at the moment
This is not the club’s fault. It’s Covid-19. Normally the club would have stayed overnight in London, but I believe we travelled down this morning (although could be wrong) due to travel restrictions and common sense. 4hrs in a coach after a long hard game against Stoke on Weds night and this is what happens. Blame the Chinese bat, not BFC......
We sorted out RW properly. He owes his career since, down to our medical staff. His hip mis-alignment has been missed all these years. This was causing his injuries. Since we sorted it, he’s done really well. Isgrove had issues before and after us. Nobody’s fault, just bad luck.
Disappointing to see Potts using the F word, McBurnie using "u" instead of "you", and Dougall misspelling "role" as "roll". Good use of the apostrophe by Herbie Kane, though. Definitely one to watch.
