Chaplin and Ludewig came on just after half time and the latter promptly crossed for the former to score with a header in the 58th minute. It was as comfortable as you like after that especially when Blackburn has a player sent off and the Brown scored the second. Even 3-0 at half time isn't as comfortable as you think though!
Yeah. In fact any game we throw away the win it haunts me mate. I like Tottenham and was chuffed that they won last night. However, I was thinking if only they hadn't thrown away that match v West Ham. They'd be top of the league. Just the way my mind works. We could throw away a win in one match and win the next three I'd still be thinking about the game that got away.
I know only one game haunted me last season and that was the 2-2 v Charlton. I felt sick for months because I think had we won that game the 17 match winless run wouldn't have happened.
Exactly right SD. The confidence boost from another 3 points that day would have been excellent, we probably would have picked up easily another 10 - 12 points in the next 10 games. DS wouldn't have gone and GS wouldn't have masterminded the "Great Escape"
Turning points mate. I think the 2017/18 season would have gone differently had we not let that late winner in at home to Cardiff City.
I think you know it's a turning point because you get this gut wrenching feeling in your stomach that you don't get at every game or with every bad result. It's like immediate seasonal hindsight.
Going for another 5-for ....... which I actually predicted last year - one of the few occasions I have been right. Andersen Kane Chaplin Frieser x2
Definitely agree that if last season had unfolded without being halted, I doubt very much that we'd still be in the Championship.
We certainly wouldn't have won at Loftus Road, had it been played in front of fans in March like it was supposed to.
