Farnham was right the other week. He (Kane) can't demand a place on transfer fee alone. He'll get his chance through suspensions, injuries or loss of form. He's only 21 and is one for the future himself. Having seen him play I don't think he offers as much as Styles, James and Mowatt and that's who I think we should go with if all fit.
There's more chance of us signing me permanently than Matty James. Unless he's prepared to take a very big pay cut. I feel like he won't be short of suitors either.

Regarding pay rates in the future, I firmly believe that Clubs will cite Covid and its affects on gate receipts , as a reason why they can't continue to pay the kind of salaries they have paid in the past. Certain pundits are predicting that wages will be cut back and squads will be trimmed, meaning that some Premiership fringe players might be glad to drop into the Championship, to at lease ensure that they are at least earning a salary.
I'd hope not but it's the nature of the beast, we want our players to perform well which in turn puts them on other clubs radars.
