because it must be hard for the players to keep changing faces and personalities who are in charge of them, at least Murray is always a constant ,lets hope we can have a decent length of time with same manager and he is a success
What struck me about Tuesday's game is that our new Coach looked to be "isolated". By that I mean that the existing coaching staff behind him in the dugout, didn't appear to talk to him or try to advise him. Can't fault his enthusiasm. Looked to be totally focussed on what was happening on the pitch, clapping and encouraging when he could.
He was also in the dugout, don't know if the club put the picture up or if it was doing the rounds somewhere else, but there was a picture of them both in the technical area of the dugout
The back-room changes were all in the main Club Press Release. I’m glad he’s brought one of his own men in - gives him another set of fresh-eyes on the players.
Seemed to speak highly of Murray at the presser. If cynical, you'd say he would do, but surely a mix of the existing staff & his assistant is probably better for continuity? Nothing better than a win to start off with. Still a lot to do, but we are strong in midfield, OK in defence in comparison to other championship teams. It's how we make the most of our chances in the attacking third that will define our season.
I noticed that too. He looked like Billy No Mates. And there was a shot of Cauley laughing and joking with Adam Murray as they came out of the tunnel and putting his hand over his mouth as if he didn't want to be over heard.
Starts his tenancy with a 3-0 win, and we're straight into ripping him apart and starting rumors. I despair.
I hope we are not seeing an us and them type of situation developing. It's a horrible environment especially for the person that is new to the job. I experienced something similar when I went to work at a mature Teachers Training College as a Finance and Administration Officer when I lived in Doncaster. Unbeknown to myself, two members of the existing staff team had also applied for the job. One who was in a position of authority herself made it be known that she would make it very difficult for whoever she had been passed over for. After about a week due to our daily contact, I formed a nice friendship with the Principals Secretary and it was she who made me aware of the resentment and told me to watch my back. I began to feel almost paranoid and went to great lengths to check every document I handled before I passed it to the Principal Finance Officer. Over a 12 month period, the atmosphere in the office was toxic, so I eventually took a job at Thorne Rural District Council as a Purchasing Officer, where I became really settled. After I left the College I heard that the bitch who had been so hostile about my appointment had applied for the job and was again overlooked in deference for another candidate.
Was it him who you could hear bellowing out orders constantly during the game on the red button coverage.
Wait until we've lost a couple of games SFO!! It's really quite incredible how some of these conspiracy theories start.
I've noticed a lot of players talking with their hand in front of their mouths for a while now, think i started to notice earlier this year. Not sure why it is, but doubt it has anything to do with the new manager
What foundation are you using to start this speculation? - Cauley speaking to one of the coaches and not wanting the camera’s to pick up what’s being said? - The new manager being caught up in the game at the expense of banter with the rest of his staff? During a game I don’t talk to the wife much cos I’m too invested in the match - doesn’t mean we’ll be parting anytime soon.
