It didn't only fail for the reason. It also failed because Nancy Pelosi is way too obsessed and emotional to think clearly and simply didn't have clear evidence. It wasn't as clean cut as it needs to be to impeach a President and win votes from the other side.

Oh come on. It failed because US politics is sufficiently partisan that those in the senate (Romney excepted) put party affiliation before law, truth and the interests of the country.

It was never a 'Slam Dunk' as they call it over there. It failed for some of the reasons you mention, but also for what I said.

Lack of evidence? Like the witness evidence the Republicans blocked?

I've not got the energy on a Friday night but the transcript wasn't 100% conclusive and the funds that were supposedly withdrawn or going to be withdrawn never were. Plus from memory there wasn't exactly an outcry from other nations on this. You have to remember the Democrats have never been more determined to remove a President in history (to my knowledge). Nancy Pelosi especially went in to quickly and too hard and it backfired.

I suspect if he doesn’t leave the country he will end up in prison unless he goes down the Nixon route.

Don’t forget the ‘too emotional to think clearly’.

Surely you'd want to tag me if you're going to quote me? Feels like a BBS version of a subtweet.

I mean this is the same woman who was walking around China Town one minute claiming the President was a racist and that the borders should be open and people should be out using businesses. Only to then endorse the strictest of lockdowns, claim the borders weren't closed down early enough, and do a complete u-turn on all of that. And then did a 'Dominic Cummings' by not following the rules she was on national television telling insisting people adhere to.

It’s just a typical insult to level at a woman. Even Trump, who is clearly far too emotional, never gets called that.

Even more of a reason to call me out on it then? It wasn't meant in that context at all and was more based on her actual actions. I've said the same about many males, including Trump, so gender has zero to do with it. If you're too emotional. You're simply too emotional. Male or female.

You’re annoyed because I didn’t tag you? It would have been weird to just randomly put your name at the end and it would have made the post disjointed if I’d have quoted that little bit with how it displays them above or below. You’ve made multiple posts in this thread as part of an ongoing conversation, it’s not like you wouldn’t have seen it (as evidenced by the fact that your reply was the very next one); I didn’t send it in a private dm to anyone. Fair enough if you use that to describe both males and females, you are in a minority though.

Never said I was annoyed? Just saying based on quoting me, what you thought about it and how annoyed you seemed, you might have wanted to call me out on it. Nothing more and nothing to see here.

How many are watching with popcorn though? He has millions of followers on Twitter but a good chunk of them are there for the entertainment factor. There’ll be different sets of viewers so numbers alone isn’t really an indicator of anything. Biden wouldn’t necessarily draw the popcorn viewers to his, just his supporters and some undecideds. I reckon Trump would get all three so you’d expect his numbers to be high

What do you think Trump’s body count is from everyone that caught Covid, directly or indirectly from his rallies?

It’s totally irresponsible and criminal to host the rallies. Completely unnecessary and does nothing but stroke a sad little man’s fragile ego.
