Is there anymore news with Barnsley signing a striker from the free agent’s that are available, What striker possibilities are there for us

Rudy Gestede, Bright Enobokare and Andre Green are the only ones I would even consider myself. Gestede isnt the best goal scorer, but has good experience in the Prem and Championship and offers us that plan b type target man option but wages possibly could be an issue there plus no sell on value at all. Andre Green is mainly a winger but can play up top. Has shown good promise in spells in his career, if wages were low it would be a low risk buy and offers another body in up top that is better than Miller and Victor. Enobokare looked electric when on loan at Cov a few seasons back and is only 22. Not the target man type but is more suited to the attacking mid role which would make him a useful signing if it was at all possible. He would be the one I would choose as my top target. a front three of Enobokare Chaplin and Woodrow (when fit) would be really exciting.

not good at all, would be a risky signing for whoever takes him on. But he showed his class on loan at cov. If and its a big if someone gets him and keeps him happy then there is a very talented player there.
Surprised that Enobokare is available. He's highly rated by a Coventry fan I know. We were linked last summer, when he ended up at Wigan.
Going to be a gamble whoever ya chose...thing is would any of these suit our style of play because thats not going to change and we don't want to be stuck with a player who dunt fit. Bear in mind that reading reviews from previous clubs can be misleading, Brittain was actually released by his club from what I understand but were already bemoaning him not being available due to a hamstring...and can ya imagine reading our reviews of Ivan Toney........

What is the point ? it is only 8 weeks to the next window & anyone who is currently on the list of out of work players are on there for a reason , if you were to sign someone tomorrow it is highly unlikely they will be any where near match fit , although we are not scoring a cartload we have netted nine times in the last five matches, which is not too bad & by playing the bit part players it gives the new coach opportunity to see them in a match day situation & therefore access what exactly he needs on his shopping list for january.
I hadn't realised that Andre Green was without a club - I thought he was highly rated at Villa! A winger/ forwad - could fit in the slots occupied by Frieser and Chaplin, if we get an injury? Not sure why he's not with a club but he'd be worth bringing in in my opinion!
He’s earned an estimated £8 million over the last 5 years. My guess is he can probably scrape by for a few months before he applies for a job in the ASOS warehouse.
He will still have bills to pay etc. Also the longer he is a free agent the less match fit he gets and the less likely he would be to get a club coming in for him. Will surely be within his best interest to find a club sooner rather than later.
Haven’t a clue what’s gone off with that Mendez Laing kid but from a purely football point of view he would be perfect to play on the right side of a front three.

Considering we are about 8 weeks off the next transfer window I’d be tempted to hold fire and trust the people at the club re:recruitment.
