Only a few counties left to declare and they’re all around Atlanta. Clinton won all those counties in 2016.

The votes won’t be counted until tomorrow though.

Some of the trends out there though are that Clinton’s lead has been cut this time around in those swing states. So will depend how big the gap is and if there’s enough votes to claw the deficit back

I don’t think we’ll know that for a few days. PA, WI, MI not started counting mail-in votes yet, which will be heavily Biden-favoured.

    Very interesting anyway!

    Can’t say it’s been a boring night.

A lot closer than I expected, that’s for sure.

But I think Biden taking AZ, if he indeed has, is a very good sign.

AZ is a good sign but there’s a lot of bad signs out there. It looks likely that Biden has completely lost the blue collar voter in the mid/north west which could hand it on a plate to Trump. Some of the significant counties in MI, such as Detroit, might not have the giant gap they had as a blue county in 16.

Haven’t those states counted the early votes just not counted the ones that came in today? It isn’t all mail in votes is it?

It’s the opposite. Much of the ‘rust belt’ counted today’s votes but not early votes/mail-in votes from what I can gather.

No idea why. Maybe because mail-in is ‘new’ for them so they’ve just done what they normally do and then done the rest after. I don’t know.

Yeah...I wasn't being serious about the sofa bit. 30 odd thousand Trump votes double counted.

    223 Biden | 174 Trump

At the end of the day, if you don’t include AZ

That's bad. Even if Biden does eventually get more votes in some of the mid west and / or Philadelphia, it's now close enough for Trump to attempt to challenge those results in court. If Georgia goes blue though that'll be pretty big. Another worrying thing is Ohio having remained with Trump. Makes it look far less likely he can win in Michigan and Wisconsin.

This is the nightmare scenario with Trump now going to try and steal the election.

I don’t think people will let him get away with it, like they did with Bush in 2000

Trump holds Texas. It's probably going down to the wire / Supreme Court.

Definitely going down to the wire. I think GA, NC, WIS and MI seal the 270 for Red. Lose any of those to blue and Biden gets to 270.

Best situation for everyone is if someone wins without PA being the decider. Then the Supreme Court don’t get involved

Trump announces victory and demands counting of votes is stopped.
