Unbelievable. They've opened up a can of worms, if Weds finish less than 6 points outside the relegation zone.
Makes little sense. The Independent panel dismiss the appeal (So presumably no new valid evidence was given to justify one). That in many other situations would likely lead to an increase in the penalty. Instead they reduce the penalty without giving any reason or justification for doing so. I wonder how big the brown envelope was?
The panel ALWAYS sides with the club unless the club is small fry. They need abolishing as they aren't working in the interests of sport but in the interest of the clubs
It’s a disgrace, I wouldn't imagine for a second that if the boot were on the foot of ‘teams like Barnsley’ the outcome would have been very different.
Our national sport is corrupt, dirty and doesn't punish cheats well enough. I would suggest the next time we play there that we don't ask for our allocation but some would still go to Swilsboro if it was 100 quid a ticket.
Have to wonder if maybe the EFL try to consider the wider point of the sport and the independent panel look solely at the offence and context to the club only.
Shows how lucky we were to stay up. Wigan seem to be the only club that can't win an appeal against the EFL
So how do we protest against the actions of the Independent Disciplinary Commission? Are they accountable to the fans in any way?
