The only person worried about litigation is t'owd Donald, when he loses legal protection. Tax evasion anyone?
This link is 13 minutes long. I'm not sure if the interview was that long but it's a feisty one. Like a scene from a Danny Devito film or something.
Biden now has more votes than any previous Presidential candidate ever. Only Obama in 2008 has got more than Trump this year.
and still Biden isnt certain to win yet but still even with the most votes ever The Democrats haven't done very well according to most commentators. This sums it up nicely
Or even names. "You're here to take on information. Just do your jobs". Superb. I felt for poor Doris though. Literally shoved in front of a mic. She did at least give her name though. And spelled it.
Doesn't sum it up nicely though because it doesn't drill down in to why that is. Regardless of the overall result in terms of the Presidency, the election has revealed that the Democrats are way out of touch right now, because they didn't get the share of the female vote they were hoping for, they're looking likely to lose the senate (where the Republican line-up is probably one of the most diverse in history - for them I mean), they completely lost the hispanic vote, and for all the racism that's discussed in relation to Trump they didn't win big with the black voters like they thought they would. With the prediction and feeling of this 'blue wave' that never arrived, they'll obviously be delighted to get Biden in to office for the next 18 months before he retires and hands to Harris, but they'll be disappointed overall with the performance - even though it's record breaking numbers. I know that sounds like a crazy assessment considering it is a record breaking election.
the pandemic beat Trump, the democratic vote is bad at turning out , the mail in gave them a chance to win, even a massive turn out on day by republicans couldn't stop the loss
has biden completely lost the hispanic vote though? i'm not so sure. tbf i'm using the term hispanic and latino interchangeably, but the demographic differs a lot between states, e.g. arizona and florida. in florida, the majority is cuban/nicaraguan/venezuelan and they've been sold the narrative that 'biden is a communist'. i would argue a different kettle of fish in arizona, where the hispanic vote has helped turn the state blue i completely agree though, biden has definitely got his hands full, if he gets over the line. he needs to somehow try and start repairing the 6 years of division and hatred created by donald trump
29,000 ballots were sent out incorrectly in one of the PA counties. An error by a third party with some printing or something. This isn't linked to Trump/Biden lawsuits it's a separate issue to the rest of the shitstorm going on right now. Also suggested that 10,000 deceased voters have been cast in Nevada - I feel like this one can't possibly be true.
It's not. There's a lot of misinformation out there at the minute, from 'sources' that have no credence. Trump has set up a 'ballot fraud hotline' - if this is his evidence he really has no chance, even in a court that he picked the judges.
Here's the thing though . Every allegation regarding irregularities or fraud started with "we believe" or "we are confident".. If they had started with " we have evidence to show" then you could argue they have substance. Otherwise they are just smears and supposition and worthless. As for Doris....???
Apologies if I'm mixing up Hispanic/Latino, but the point remains in terms of losing a whole demographic. It's nowhere near as simple as saying they've just been sold the 'Biden is a Communist' story. It's one factor, but not the only one. There was one county, that Clinton won by 60 points, where Biden only one by 5 points and 96% of that county are Latino. Fact check me on this one as I'm not 100% certain, but there's another stat where the Republicans received more votes from POC than in any other election.
You don't know that though. That's my point in all this. Those flat out denying there's the potential for some errors or wrong doing are being as extreme as those shouting 'fraud'. I know first hand from US friends and family of issues with mail voting ballots. Like genuine examples. It might be that this always happens and is being amplified by the closeness of the election, who's the President, etc. but if you pull some of the claims back a couple of levels there's likely an element of truth. Just not enough to force anything to change Biden winning.
That last point is probably true, but I’d be surprised if they have a higher percentage. There’s a lot of stats like that around, purely because of the extremely high turnout.
