o/t - just Wimbledon programme/booklet from their Doncaster match - first match at Plough Lane - an excellent publication.
If I remember right. Weren’t he a tarn fan. Why did he change his allegiance.? Or am I on the wrong track.
No you're right Hooky. Something to do with domestics and not wanting to be around certain fans at the club. Started going to Millmoor instead and the rest is history. When I was younger tended to float round watching whoever was at home but then Sam Yates came in to where I worked to insure his car and that was that. Decided to watch Barnsley full time and despite the lows never regretted it. Made some great friends and had some magic hilarious away days
Didn't miss a Millers home or away game for years and years and got presented with an award and when the milestone was reached at Brighton they invited him in to the boardroom and everything. Brighton really looked after him as well https://www.rotherhamadvertiser.co....am-united-superfan-john-norris-finally-_30378
1000 consecutive games was the Brighton occasion. Even got a thank you message from Steve Evans https://www.themillers.co.uk/news/2015/september/millers-to-honour-super-fan-john-at-amex-stadium/
Though to be fair time has healed the rift and he occasionally popped into Oakwell before the virus . Doesn't go to the away games now unless it's a new ground
