really - left wing Bias from Barnsley a town that has no love for the Tory party Im shocked
Also just to point out that being Anti Trump because he is a liar racist and a misogynist doesnt make you left wing. in fact neither does being pro Bieden. The Democrats are well to the right of our Lib Dems.

Yeah fair point. I’ve lived in Barnsley all my life so I probably shouldn’t be that surprised about the left wing stuff.

I am a bit surprised about the extent of the anti-Trump sentiment though. I get that he’s arrogant, loud mouthed and bordering on obnoxious to some people but there seems to be a complete disregard for the good stuff that he has done in the past 4 years. Perhaps I should make a case for his better points to add some balance.

He's pretty far over that border.

Debate is always a good thing and you shouldn't be lambasted for arguing for one or the other. I disagree that he's the underdog though. Trump is a winner, even through all his bankruptcies he has come out on top and made it to president. Now he is losing he doesn't like it. If you really want to root for the underdog you should be championing a candidate like Kanye West for president.

The business genius thing is pretty much a myth. If he'd put his inheritance from his dad in a stock index tracker he'd have roughly the same amount.

I get your point but I was meaning underdog in the context of this message board rather than generally. Kanye West would have made an interesting President though. He would certainly be a big improvement on Joe Biden.

I really think you should try to focus more on Trump’s more loveable qualities. All that pent up animosity isn’t good for your health and well-being.

I'm not in the 'business genius' camp and I definitely dont like the guy. My point was he has landed on his feet throughout his life and now it looks like he's going to lose the presidency he has reverted back to a child, throwing his toys out the pram. He doesn't know how to handle it, so he spreads lies and whips up hysteria. And this from a guy that basically invented 'fake news'. The fake news thing is genius though, because whenever anyone calls him out on anything and he disagrees, he says 'fake news!'. Again, like a child. A very weird individual, with idiotic intelligence (if that even makes sense?).

I understood where you were coming from, but in the wider world he is no underdog, he wasnt the underdog in this presidential race, and he so happens to be losing.

I agree also, I would prefer Kanye to Biden any day of the week. He also ran for president, but he has 0.3% of the vote (hence underdog). At least Kanye speaks truth.

I remember having the discussion with a few Americans on another Forum...the reasons were not really fact based, one thought that doctors were poorly paid...one had British friends who had said the service was rubbish and one thought it was a communist plot.
I replied saying that being a doctor may not be an aspirational millionaires choice...it is a decent career, I reeled off a long list of free and excellent treatment that I or my family had received...which did impress them, and as to the communist plot I pointed out that virtually everyone in Britain whether on the left or right of the spectrum agreed it is a national treasure.

Good speech from Biden tonight. Strange to have someone with respect for people and the office of president.

His stutter was pretty bad there
