So.... back to the Hammer and Scorecard. How do people even make this rubbish up?!! I think someone’s been reading too many Tom Clancy novels. As if the CIA would be using software programs to manipulate US Election results
Honestly mate I’m not sure that will happen. I think he’ll be back in 2024 because outside of him losing it’s been a brilliant election for the Republicans. Having his name on the ballot appears to have driven extra support. However the senate race isn’t over so that talk could be super premature and that success could easily swing in to failure. More people voted for this President than any other President in history. The turnout has been great which regardless of the winner is always a positive for democracy.
It’s quite remarkable that Joe Biden has managed to pick up more votes than any other presidential candidate in US history including Obama who I personally find much more personable.
All about the turnout numbers. Record breaking in so many ways, and like I said that is nothing but positive regardless of the winner and what happens in the coming days and weeks. All you ever want is people to vote. At that point you might disagree with the end result but at least you’re not eyeballing over 50% of the country who didn’t bother
Although I didn't agree with him politically, John McCain always came across as a very dignified gentleman. His concession speech was the mark of a true statesman.
So are you saying that u find it remarkable that JB had a massive increase in vote, but less so that Trump also had an increase
Yes. Joe Biden is hardly the most charismatic candidate ever, can barely string a sentence together and has been shut up in house for much of the election run-in. I suppose it must be his campaign promises that have appealed to the masses.
No it's clearly a response to the madness of Trump. He didn't need to campaign much, just appear safe, calm and sane
I think as Loko says much depends on the senate. If it's a Republican senate, then the presidency might be a poisoned chalice as he appears ineffective over the next four tumultuous years. In that case, Trump will be waiting in the wings with his narrative of how he was cheated out of the election and didn't lose it. I can't see anyone else replacing him, considering the massive support for his presidency in voter numbers. If the democrats can tie the senate, they can bring out reform such as with the supreme court, and make a meaningful difference to politics.
Having his name on the ballot also drove the extra opposition which resulted in a loss, so I'm not sure he's been that brilliant...
They're predicting up to 60% of 18-29s have voted. Highest of that age group in history. Pretty insane turnout.
