US Election

No worries at all here mate. It's not my country and it's not my election!

 

You would think in arguably the most technologically advanced country in the world that by now they would have a sophisticated system in place whereby there isn’t even the slightest potential for fraud to be perpetrated. Something like a blockchain system whereby even the smallest of frauds could be instantly flagged up and proven irrefutably.

Perhaps after all this kerfuffle they will work on having something like that in place ready for 2024 so this doesn’t happen again.

I’m happy at that then. I fancy myself as a bit of a comedian and I’m ready and willing to help lighten the mood in these troubling and uncertain times. It’s community service and at the same time keeps me entertained so everyone’s a winner!

I was going to tell you the joke about the baby-eating lizard people next but I’m concerned that BarnsleyReds might pop a blood vessel if I do. So, instead I think I might see if I can join in him on his one-man crusade to rid the world of the evil tyranny of internet misinformation.

I’m not on any sort of crusade, mate. I don’t go looking for it, but when I see things presented as fact that I know to be false I feel the need to point that out. I actually researched the Dominion Vote counters a couple of days ago when I first saw the theory going around, which is why I knew how that particular conspiracy theory started.

I just feel like we all have to be better with fact checking before we share information like this. I’ve been guilty of it myself in the past, without a doubt.

That’s a very noble response. I haven’t got any axe to grind with you and I’ll gladly buy you a beer after lockdown.

In the meantime, conspiracy theories aside, there will be some kind of legal challenge by Donald Trump and it will either be successful or not. I have no idea how things will pan out but I’m sure we will all have a better idea this time next week.

She has no morals. In 2015 she was slagging him off and calling him racist then after a colleague got her pissed and told her it would be good for her career to support him she abandoned all morals and everything she knew was right because she was only interested in being famous. I know someone through work that was adamant Covid was going to “go away on the 4th November”. He cant work out why they’re still talking about it. It’s really insane.
